Almost every day for the past week, I’ve riden my bike through downtown Chicago to get to the Harold Washington Public Library. I did this for a number of reasons:
REASON #1: It’s huge and awesome. Check out its majesty…

REASON #2: Because its so huge and awesome, once I get inside, I forget what I came for and end up going home with a different book than I intended to.

Not the book I came for, but an awesome one!

The Book I was supposed to get, HaHa, I've got you now!

and this on the other…

and coincidentally has these little book sculptures on it… how fitting, right?

REASON # 6: I get to feel like a kid again when I ride my bike through these LEGS…

(By the way, those cool black blobs on the photo are my fingers PURPOSEFULLY and artfully covering the lens.)
REASON #7: This handsome guy.

Major General John Logan (whoever that is)
(there go my artsy fingers again!)
REASON #8: The Thomas Hughes Children’s Library located on the second floor. It’s HUGE!

REASON #9: Friendly Faces.

This nice person’s name is Kelly The Librarian, and it’s her job to help you find the perfect book for your child. Remember, librarians aren’t just sexy, they’re smart, too, and they love to help people. Go meet your local librarian today!
